Install 03-04 AEM SRI for 05+

in contrary to modern belief by many, the AEM SRI for 03-04 DOES indeed fit in our 05, 06, .. etc. so here is a sorta DIY, but mainly juss pix of where ppl including me, get confused at first.

Needs

  • socket wrench w/ 10mm socket
  • screwdriver
  • instruction booklet (to follow along)

Steps

  1. On the instructions booklet it’s B.) and it’s just removing the engine cover. simple as pie. The red area is where the bolts and stuff are.

2. Remove the battery bracket.

the arrows should be on ur instructions..

3. Loosen the stock hose clamps as shown in booklet. (no pic)

4. Remove Air flow meter connector. as shown in booklet. (no pic)

5. IN THE BOOKLET, THIS IS PART F AND G. FOR 06+ CARS, WE DON’T HAVE THIS, SO JUST SKIP IT.

6. (H) release the air box cover clips and slide VSV out. (shown in booklet)

7. (I) remove the air box cover. (as shown in booklet)

8. (2J) – (2M) just follow the instructions, it’s pretty direct.

9. (3B) – (3F) I don’t think there’s a place for 06+ for this step, so i just skipped it, basically it’s just there to help hold wires up, but you can zip tie the wires and it’ll be just as fine. just skip to the part about mounting the AEM pipe.

10. (3G) mount the MAF sensor to the adaptor of the AEM pipe.

11. (3H) – (end) basically reconnect everything back to the throttle body.

**THIS IS WHERE PPL THINK IT WON’T FIT.**

The last two steps ppl panic cuz our engine bay is different than the one this intake is actually made for. but have no fear, just stick the supplied hose into the stock hose coming out of the engine and use the clamp to secure it.
