well with inspection coming up i don’t feel like doing so much as stock…so i might as well do it right.
i went down to auto-zone and found a spectre grommit set.
http://www.spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG.8711 …cost $6.99
comparing breather to the largest vacuum fitting
this comes with the bits needed to drill the stock intake.
you will need 1/2″ inner diameter vacuum line and fittings to extend the factory hose 4″. once extended you can recover this hose with its original cover to hide all modification.
remove cai/sri and drill after the maf.. then clean up the threads and insert the largest grommit. (make sure to clean out the burr’s because this is not the best tool)
now after i inserted the gromit i used black rtv and let it dry a bit. no need for a vacuum leak.
(i had two other pictures but they were deleted )
this is the intake reinstalled with the pcv connected
tools needed
